Accreditations

Due to significant investments in time, money and effort, Snowdonia has achieved many prestigious industry accreditations in both quality and manufacturing. To safeguard these awards (in addition to our extensive in-house testing) our products and methods undergo constant external policing by the awarding bodies. To find out more about these industry accreditations click on the logos at the bottom of this page.

Snowdonia is the only company in North Wales to achieve the “Secured by Design” Licence awarded by the Association of Chief Police officers. Our window locking systems therefore significantly reduce your chances of being burgled. In addition, your home insurance may offer better rates as a result of our accreditations.

The ISO 9000/2 certifies the highest standards in both manufacturing and installation.

Snowdonia is a member of both the British Plastics Federation since 1983 and Construction Line. The British Plastics Federation is the leading trade association of the UK Plastics Industry and plays a useful and constructive role in the development of legislation and standards at both UK and EU government levels. The BPF focuses on four main issues Environmental, Fire, Product Safety and Industrial Health and Safety.

In addition, Snowdonia are a FENSA registered company. FENSA stands for the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme. It was set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF), at the request of the Deputy Prime Minister in response to the current Building Regulations for England and Wales. All replacement glazing in homes falls within the scope of the Building Regulations. Anyone who installs replacement windows or doors has to comply with current thermal performance standards. When having windows and doors replaced homeowners must ensure that they get a certificate of compliance. This may be obtained from FENSA or from Local Authority Building Control.

Snowdonia also manufacturers and installs in compliance with British Standards Institute standards. BSI is a world-renowned organisation for developing and publishing codes of best practice that improve safety, efficiency, and interoperability and facilitate trade. At Snowdonia our products are accredited with coveted British Standards Institute kite marks 7412 and 7950. These particular standards detail the installation of PVCu windows and the enhanced security performance of windows and doors.

At Snowdonia we are proud that we hold these standards. Furthermore, whatever home improvement product you choose, we also offer you an insurance-backed guarantee, which even covers your deposit.
